About BMO IFL
Space for Inspiration and Learning
BMO IFL was built in 1994 as a learning and collaboration space – and today it is one of the few standalone, corporate learning facilities in Canada. The open atmosphere inspires innovation and changing the way people meet.
Today, we proudly host many of Canada's best employers, who are equally committed to the growth and development of their people.
BMO IFL was designed by the internationally-recognized Canadian architect Raymond Moriyama. Working in partnership with BMO, the goal was to build an inspiring space that would transform the learning community, and reinforce the BMO spirit of innovation and collaboration.
Comprised of three main areas, BMO IFL includes a Learning Centre, a Grand Hall with two large adjoining meeting spaces (The Presentation Hall and The Forum), and a hotel wing with 150 guest rooms and leisure facilities.
Called the 'Bow' because of its unique shape, the glass-enclosed Grand Hall cuts across the heart of the building, uniting the three main areas of BMO IFL. It is the place where all paths cross, and is a bold symbol of BMO’s flight into the future.
The Heritage Room brings the BMO story to life through interactive displays and technology. A celebration of many BMO ‘firsts’ it demonstrates our ability to embrace and lead change, motivated by an unwavering commitment to our customers.
Our hospitality partner, Dolce Hotels & Resorts delivers on BMO’s promise of great customer service, every day, through every guest interaction. Many of the Dolce employees have been with BMO IFL since our opening in 1994. Dedicated professionals, they deliver exceptional, personalized service that is some of the best in the business. From a warm welcome, to a desire to assist you with any request – your time at the IFL will be remembered long after your visit has ended.
We are committed to minimizing the impact of our operations on the environment and demonstrating sustainability leadership. In 2016, BMO IFL was the first building in Canada to be certified to the new ISO 14001:2015 standard for the implementation of a rigorous environmental management system. We have implemented many programs to reduce energy consumption and emissions from our building, and are contributing to BMO’s ongoing carbon neutral status.
In 2017 we became bullfrogpowered with 100 per cent green electricity.
